Dulah In Red Velvet (full color)

Posted on February 18, 2009 - Filed Under Family history, Uncategorized

Mrs. Annalee Wood, the niece of artist Joseph Pfister sent me a color photo of the painting Dulah in Red Velvet. Dulah is cousin Dulah Pulskamp of Celina, OH, who was very close to the artist all her life.dulahinred2

I am the great grandson of Henry Pulskamp (Rosemary’s grandson). We have inherited a Pulskamp family picture that is exactly like what is on your site (History), plus another that shows him with all of his brothers father and mother. We also have a charcoal drawing of Dulah signed by Joseph Pfister that looks like Dulah is much younger. We also have quite a few older photographs of the Celina Pulskamps.

If you are interested in seeing any of these please let me know.

From a 1978 History of Mercer County Ohio:

Mrs. Donals M. Wood has a collection of Joseph Pfister’s works in her Cincinnati home.

Dulah in Red Velvet; Dulah Pulskamp

Many other paintings are also listed.

I have a PDF of the article if anyone is interested.
